Circular Tasmania is live — and we’d love your feedback

Tasmania is an island. What we throw away stays with us. What we extract, we live with. And yet most of us have never been given the tools to think differently about the things we buy, use, and discard. We built this course because we think that needs to change — and because we believe the Huon Valley, and Tasmania more broadly, has the community spirit to actually do something about it.

Circular Tasmania is a free, self-paced online course designed for anyone in Tasmania who wants to understand the circular economy — and actually do something about it. No jargon. No lecture theatre. Just six weeks of practical, locally-grounded learning you can do at your own pace, from your own couch.

The course covers everything from the basics of circular economy thinking, through to material flows, local community initiatives, systemic change, and your own personal action plan. Every module is built around real Tasmanian examples — the businesses, the initiatives, and the people already making it happen here.

We’re in pilot mode right now. That means the course is live and free to use, but we’re still learning what works and what doesn’t. Which is where you come in.

If you’re doing the course — or even just poking around — we want to hear from you. What made sense? What didn’t? What’s missing? What surprised you?

Your feedback helps us make the case for circular economy education in Tasmania — and for the funding that will let us do more of it.

We’re also open to collaborators. If you’re an organisation, educator, or community group who sees an opportunity here — we’d love to talk.
